Mado Restaurant is seeking a courteous, well-presented, and customer-focused Hostess to be the face of our dining experience. As a Hostess, you will be responsible for welcoming guests with warmth, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating operations to enhance customer satisfaction from the moment they arrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests with a positive and professional demeanor.
Manage reservations and walk-ins using a reservation system or logbook.
Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table usage and minimize wait times.
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and assist with reservations or take-out orders if applicable.
Communicate guest preferences and special occasions to the service team.
Monitor dining room activity and assist in maintaining cleanliness and order.
Collaborate with the service and kitchen teams to ensure an efficient flow of guests.
Handle guest complaints or concerns with grace and professionalism, escalating issues when necessary.
Uphold Mado Restaurant's standards of hospitality and presentation at all times.
Requirements:
Previous experience in hospitality or front-of-house preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional appearance and a warm, approachable attitude.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Basic computer or POS system knowledge is a plus.
Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
