The Restaurant Hostess serves as the first point of contact for guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive. She is responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations and seating arrangements, and ensuring smooth guest flow throughout the dining area.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly and manage their arrival flow.
Maintain reservation system and update seating charts accurately.
Provide clear wait-time estimates and manage the waitlist.
Escort guests to tables and ensure smooth table rotation.
Answer phone calls and handle reservation or inquiry requests.
Relay guest needs and special requests to servers and management.
Keep the hostess stand, entrance, and menus clean and organized.
Address guest concerns or questions politely and efficiently.
Support front-of-house operations during peak periods.
Candidate Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification is an advantage.
Previous experience in restaurants, hotels, or customer service (UAE experience preferred).
Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a strong plus.
Strong customer-service attitude with the ability to engage warmly with international guests.
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm during busy periods.
Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, SevenRooms) is preferred.
Knowledge of basic UAE customer-service etiquette and cultural sensitivity.
