The Job We are currently looking for Restaurant Host/Hostess applicants for a fine-dining Japanese Cuisine Restaurant in Mirdif Avenue Mall. Responsibilities
- Greet Guests: Warmly welcome and acknowledge arriving guests as they enter the establishment.
- Seating Management: Manage the seating of guests by assigning tables or seats, considering reservations and table availability.
- Reservation Handling: Handle reservation requests and maintain a reservation book or computerized reservation system.
- Waitlist Management: Maintain a waitlist for guests during peak times, providing estimated wait times.
- Escort to Tables: Escort guests to their assigned tables and provide them with menus.
- Menu Explanation: Explain menu items, specials, and promotions to guests, and answer questions about the menu.
- Maintain Waiting Area: Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized, and provide a comfortable environment for waiting guests.
- Communication: Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth table turnover and service.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, including addressing inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
- Resolving Issues: Handle guest complaints or issues and involve a manager if necessary.
- Takeout Orders: Manage takeout orders, ensuring accuracy and prompt service to guests for takeaway meals.
- Assist with Seating Arrangements: Assist in arranging large parties, accommodating special seating requests, and ensuring table settings meet guests\' preferences.
- Maintain Reservation Records: Keep detailed records of reservations, including guest contact information and special requests.
- Cash Handling: Handle cash, credit card transactions, and bill payments for guests.
- Host Station Management: Keep the host/hostess station organized, stocked, and ready for service.
- Cleanliness and Appearance: Ensure the host/hostess area is clean, and maintain a neat, professional appearance.
- Safety and Security: Follow safety and security protocols, including monitoring the entry and exit of guests.
- Shift Transition: Provide thorough information and updates to incoming hosts/hostesses during shift transitions.
- Promote Specials: Promote daily specials and events to guests.
- Cooperation: Work collaboratively with other restaurant staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
- Upselling: Recommend additional items, such as appetizers or desserts, to guests.
- Farewell: Bid farewell to departing guests, express gratitude for their visit, and invite them to return.
- Menu Replenishment: Ensure that menus and promotional materials are well-stocked and in good condition.
- Reservation Confirmation: Confirm reservations and follow up with reminder calls, if applicable.
- Customer Feedback: Gather and report customer feedback and comments to the management team.
- Maintain Waitlist and Reservation Logs: Keep accurate records of reservations and waitlist information.
- Experience working as a Restaurant Host/Hostess
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- Restaurant Host/Hostess: 1 year (Preferred)
