Your mission
As Resident Engineer - Civil (Substation) in our Transmission & Distribution department, you will manage the civil engineering portfolio of high-voltage power substation projects (400kV / 220kV / 132kV). You will oversee technical, HSE, and financial performance during design and construction supervision, ensuring delivery in line with contractual, safety, and quality standards.
Your key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise civil works for high-voltage substation projects.
• Monitor construction to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
• Plan, organize, and oversee engineering and construction inspection activities.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Identify, report, and resolve non-conformance issues.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and international/local codes.
• Coordinate with the Client (e.g., TRANSCO) and other stakeholders on project interfaces.
• Oversee project closeout activities and verification of installed quantities.

Your qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (approved by UAE regulatory authorities).
• Minimum 10 years' experience in civil engineering, with substantial experience in substation projects in the UAE.

• Experienced in contractor supervision, quality assurance, and project delivery.
• Familiar with UAE authority and utility standards.

• Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.

Preference

• Prior experience with TRANSCO, ADDC, DEWA or other major UAE utilities will be highly preferred.
