Key Responsibilities of the Reservations Agent:

\xc2\xb7 Greets guests over the phone in a friendly, courteous manner

\xc2\xb7 Records reservation information accurately

\xc2\xb7 Identifies and records group and transient business codes

\xc2\xb7 Informs other departments of VIP arrivals

\xc2\xb7 Identifies commissionable reservations and secures required information

\xc2\xb7 Records and processes deposit information

\xc2\xb7 Identifies and records special billing instructions; approves credit after consultation with the space controller

\xc2\xb7 Files all reservations in a systematic order for easy referral

\xc2\xb7 Contributes to maximum occupancy of the hotel by assisting in maintaining accurate inventory control of rooms

\xc2\xb7 Records requests for special accommodation and suites

\xc2\xb7 Assists with the preparation of the four-day forecast and VIP list

\xc2\xb7 Achieves maximum occupancy and average rate by utilizing yield management

\xc2\xb7 Uses up-selling techniques

\xc2\xb7 Handles all special requests appropriately

\xc2\xb7 Pre-blocks all special requests or VIP accommodations accurately

\xc2\xb7 Keeps space controller informed of new group bookings

\xc2\xb7 Utilizes guest history files for personalized service at the hotel

\xc2\xb7 Maximizes customer satisfaction and hotel revenue by promoting hotel restaurants and other services and facilities to the guests

\xc2\xb7 Deals with assigned incoming correspondence, faxes and reservation messages in a timely and accurate manner

\xc2\xb7 Acknowledges assigned reservation faxes and messages

\xc2\xb7 Communicates effectively with guests, colleagues, and supervisors.

Requirements of the Reservations Agent:

- Arabic Speaker

- Experience in reservations

- Hands-on approach with a can-do work style

- Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry

- Ability to find creative solutions taking ownership for duties and tasks assigned

- Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence

- Experience of working with IT systems on various platforms
