Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly detailed and customer-focused Reservation Agent with expert knowledge of the Opera Property Management System (PMS) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, handling all reservation inquiries with efficiency and professionalism. You will play a crucial role in creating a positive and lasting impression, ensuring a seamless booking experience from inquiry to arrival.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all incoming reservation requests via telephone, email, and online channels promptly and professionally.
  • Utilize Opera PMS to its full capacity to create, modify, and cancel reservations accurately.
  • Process deposits and payments according to established procedures within Opera.
  • Manage room inventory, rates, and availability in real-time within the system.
  • Have a thorough understanding of room types, rate plans, and hotel amenities to effectively upsell and maximize revenue.
  • Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Input and maintain accurate guest profiles and preferences in Opera, ensuring a personalized experience.
  • Work closely with the Front Office and Sales departments to ensure guest expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reservation reports as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and proprietary data.
  • Achieve individual and departmental targets for conversion and upsell.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • MUST HAVE: Proven experience and expert-level proficiency with the Opera Property Management System (PMS). This is a non-negotiable requirement.
  • Minimum of [e.g., 2-3] years of experience in a reservations or front office role within the hospitality industry.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, in [e.g., English; additional languages are a plus].
  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and patient phone manner.
  • Excellent computer literacy and ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to guest needs.
  • Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
