Job Description
Khalifa Center is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Research Associate-Greenhouse to grow and maintain the plants in the greenhouses, plant rooms, nethouses, and field (if needed) conditions and assist the research projects. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Germinating seeds, planting, irrigation, fertilization, insecticide/fungicide application, weeding, pruning, cleaning, transplanting, and maintaining various crop plants in the greenhouse, plant rooms, nethouses, and field conditions. Ability to identify problems such as diseases, weeds, and insect pests and perform methodologies in accordance with the project supervisors. Interested in learning new methods applicable to research projects. Monitoring of the greenhouse operation systems to ensure their proper functioning. To provide the required assistance in data collection as to the research project supervisors. Collection of seeds, accurate labeling, storage and documentation of the seeds of different crops.
Minimum Qualification
Minimum Bachelors degree in any branch of Plant Science/Agriculture/Horticulture or related disciplines. Bachelors degree with a minimum of two years of experience (one year for Masters) in growing and maintaining plants, preferably in greenhouse/nethouses/field conditions.
