Research Assistant (structural Engineering)
Job Description
The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a Research Assistant in Structural Engineering. The candidate should be knowledgeable of structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete members. The candidate should be able to design innovative structural rehabilitation systems using composite materials, develop numerical simulation models, conduct experiments for material characterization and performance evaluation of structural concrete members. The candidate should have a master's degree in civil structural engineering. Candidates willing to pursue a PhD in civil engineering at UAE University in the near future will be given priority.
Minimum Qualification
A master's degree in civil structural engineering. o Experience in writing technical papers.
Preferred Qualification
Skills in experimental testing, data analysis, and reporting. o Experience in publishing technical papers in peer-reviewed journals. o Ability to use structural engineering software. o Ability to work independently and among a group. o Demonstrable initiative, commitment, and dedication in executing the role. o Adaptability and flexibility to changes associated with research demands. o Commitment to providing a safe and healthy workplace
