JOB PURPOSE

As the Research Assistant within the Open UAE Research & Development Research Group at the Research Institute of Sciences and Engineering (RISE), you will be part of an innovative team focused on advancing emerging technologies in the UAE. You will be expected to bring a strong research background, with a master's or bachelor's degree and a high CGPA from a reputable university. Your role will include contributing to cutting-edge research in one of the following domains:


Blockchain: Evaluation, security, and application development Generative AI & LLMs: API integration, fine-tuning, and practical applications Deep Security Knowledge: Advanced cybersecurity practices, threat modeling, and system security


About the Research Group:

The Open UAE Research & Development Group is the region's first dedicated to advancing the adoption of Open-Source Software (OSS). It offers unique research opportunities that include training, consultancy, and evaluating OSS-based solutions, as well as providing consultancy for the government and private sectors.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

Conduct literature reviews, analyze research papers, and synthesize findings Design and implement experiments, simulations, or prototypes based on project requirements Assist in data collection, processing, and analysis Contribute to technical reports, publications, and presentations Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support ongoing projects Assist in exploring and identifying new technologies, concepts, and tools from literature

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

Educational background in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Published papers in relevant fields
