Research Assistant Date Palm Unit
Job Description
Under supervision, performs a variety of manual, repetitive tasks such as watering, weeding, nurturing, cultivating, pruning, trimming, staking and/or harvesting of plants, trees, shrubs and/or crops. o Loads and unloads containers. o Operates manual and mechanical farm equipment. o Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualification
Secondary School Certificate or Diploma in Horticulture
Preferred Qualification
Higher Diploma in Horticulture or related field
Expected Skills
Knowledge in horticulture and nursery activities. o Hardening of tissue culture date plantlets. o Competence of innovation in the field of nursery. o Able to operate automatic irrigation systems adapted to plants nursery & farm. o Knowledge of plant propagation and nutrition's. o Good communication and team work skills. o Fluency in Arabic and English is required. o Al least 2 years' experience in horticulture field.
