The Reporting Analyst will work as part of the HR CMO team to gather, analyse, and document reporting and dashboard requirements in relation to business strategies, performance tracking and projects. The role will be responsible for coordinating, developing, and managing accurate and timely reports and dashboards in response to these requirements and will be accountable for generating meaningful insights to assist with data-driven decision making.
The Reporting Analyst will work with a variety of stakeholders to align on business reporting tools and will be responsible for adhering to current reporting procedures, techniques, and data governance frameworks.
Accountabilities
Create and deliver regular and ad hoc business reports and dashboards such as risk reporting, dashboard reporting, change reporting, progress reporting and HR operational performance reporting
Utilise business reporting platforms and visualisation tools, such as Microsoft Power BI, to produce reports and dashboards to enable management oversight of business performance and to assist with data-based decision making
Plan, facilitate and participate in requirement gathering meetings and/or workshops with stakeholders
Identify appropriate data sources and determine approaches for rectifying any data gaps/missing information
Work closely with business teams/stakeholders to review, verify, and confirm data integrity and accuracy to meet reporting/dashboard requirements and, where necessary, work with stakeholders to clean data
Gather data to develop reports and dashboards, and facilitate its interpretation by creating meaningful insights and data-driven recommendations based on identified trends and forecasts
Assess the impact, risks and benefits of various requirements and proposed solutions
Clarify data technical queries on behalf of stakeholders and participate in the validation of defect fixes
Proactively communicate with stakeholders at appropriate points to ensure understanding of requests as well as proper interpretation and use of resulting analysis
Education & Experience
3-5 years’ experience working as a Business, Data or Reporting Analyst, completing requirements gathering and conducting business analysis
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent
Knowledge of business analysis methodologies, data analytics processes and procedures are essential
Experience working with large datasets and interpreting data to provide business insights
Proficient in working with data visualisation tools, with Microsoft Power BI Dashboard preferred
Effective interpersonal skills including collaboration, team building, and communication to build productive relationships with stakeholders
Strong analytical and organisational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
Attention to detail; must be able to cross-check work and be vigilant in analysis to come to accurate conclusions
Ability to operate with discretion and confidentiality at all times
