Overview

**This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP**

+ Under supervision of the Repair Supervisor (Container), individual must have familiarity with all sorts of containers. Must be familiar with Joint Container Management system(JCM).Must be able to inspect, service and repair all Government Owned Containers of containers. Provide guidance and expertise to welders and fabricators within the section. Individual must be familiar with heavy equipment to include, but not limited to forklifts, RTCHs, flatbeds, lowboys, and cranes.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

+ Performs Direct Support level maintenance on containers.

+ Adjusts components to specifications and determines shortcomings and malfunctions in assemblies.

+ Determines serviceability and disposition of defective containers

+ Repairs unserviceable items by removing and replacing defective components.

+ Complete all supply and maintenance forms as required.

+ Provides technical guidance to co-workers in the performance of their duties.

+ Performs initial, in process and final type inspections of designated containers

+ Performs other duties and assignments as assigned.

Qualifications

+ Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

+ Education/Certifications:

+ High School graduate or equivalent.

+ A valid US driver's license is required, and able to obtain Local Driver's License.

+ Must have or able to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC).

+ Must have valid US Passport.

+ Must be US citizen.

+ AWS Certification preferred, and must attain a container certification within 90 days of employment.

+ Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination:

+ To be qualified for this position you must comply with USCENTCOM MOD 16 that requires proof that you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, as defined by the CDC or host country requirements. As of now, to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 you must have received either two doses of Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine, two doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine, two doses of Moderna Vaccine, or one dose of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine, and two weeks must have elapsed after the final dose was administered. This definition may change in accordance with CDC guidelines. Compliance with this government requirement is an essential function of the position and is a condition of employment.

+ Experience:

+ Three years experience in servicing, troubleshooting and repair of containers.

+ Skills:

+ Able to adjust components to specifications and determines shortcomings and malfunctions in assemblies.

+ Able to determine serviceability and disposition of defective containers

+ Able to repair unserviceable items by removing and replacing defective components.

+ Able to complete all supply and maintenance forms as required.

+ Able to provide technical guidance to co-workers in the performance of their duties.

+ Able to perform initial, in process and final type inspections of designated containers

+ Working Conditions:

+ Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

+ Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).

+ Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

+ Physical Requirements:

+ Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

+ Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.

+ Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.

+ Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
