About the role: Reporting to the Senior Renewable Engineer, the Renewable Electrical Engineer will be responsible for supporting renewable energy requirements for respective projects. Renewable Electrical Engineer will develop the conceptual electrical system design, electrical schematics, SLDs, evaluate the Vendor offers, and take an active role during the Detailed Design, Installation, Testing, Commissioning, and Troubleshooting of Renewables. The Renewable Electrical Engineer will work closely with the engineering and subsurface teams to achieve project objectives. The role will also involve active engagement with DAC and PSC technology partners, vendors, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure the successful integration of systems on the ground.
What you\'ll do:

• Work closely with Senior Renewable Engineer to develop budget, schedule, layout, and equipment specifications for respective projects.
• Review technology partners, Engineering Consultants, and vendors electrical scope of works for Design, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems and devices.
• Develop/Review of electrical schematics, including but not limited to, concept designs, SLDs, wire, block, and pictorial diagrams.
• Review and maintain up to date electrical schematics, documents, and energy monitoring data.
• Coordinate approval processes from distribution companies, municipalities, DCRP, APSR and any others as required.
• Evaluate product and system designs and configurations for compliance to relevant industry standards such as IEEE1574, EN 60204 etc. Provide oversight and guidance on meeting standard requirements within the company.
• Coordinate with vendors to understand root cause of failures, propose design or component changes, and implement and validate design changes.
• Develop, coordinate, and implement best practices to optimize energy consumption and lower operational carbon footprint.
• Support renewable energy requirements for respective projects.
• Keep abreast of alternative / new renewable energy technologies to determine feasibility of implementation and cost effectiveness.
• Participate in contract reviews and provide required inputs to Project Development Manager.
• Implement cost effective measures to deliver value engineering and design optimization where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with company\'s quality and HSE procedures.

• Knowledge and understanding to perform/ review Electrical system study.
• Can prepare and review a variety of datasheets/ specifications.
• Having understanding of Oman and International Electrical Standards.
• Having DCRP Protection and Testing certificate is a bonus.
• PV101 / PV201 certification is desirable.
• When needed, can work at Site and supervise Sub-Contractor work.
• Good understanding of electrical, renewable energy and control systems
• Minimum of a bachelor\'s degree in electrical engineering or Electronics engineering.
• Having +4 years of relevant experience within Oil & Gas or EPC projects. Experience with renewable energy projects is desirable.
