Role Summary
Provide high-quality nursing care across three settings:
On-call visits to residences/hotels
Scheduled home-care cases (acute and chronic)
Events/venue medical coverage.
The RN will triage, deliver evidence-based care, document on the EMR, and coordinate with physicians, paramedics, and operations.
Key Responsibilities On-Call & Home-Care:
Perform bedside and ambulance assessments (vitals, focused exam, risk scoring), create and execute nursing care plans.
Administer IV/IM/SC medications, IV cannulation/therapy, injections, nebulization, wound and burn care, ear care, catheter care, diabetes care, and pain management per protocols and MD orders.
Conduct home lab collections (venipuncture, ECG capture), monitor results, and escalate abnormalities.
Educate patients/families on medications, red-flags, device use (e.g., CPAP/O?), and follow-up.
Maintain aseptic technique, medication reconciliation, and controlled-drug handling logs.
Complete timely EMR documentation, consent forms, invoices, and handover notes.
Events & Venue Medical Coverage
Set up and break down first-aid posts; ensure equipment/drug kit readiness and daily checks.
Provide first response for injuries/illnesses, crowd-care and mass-gathering health support.
Triage using standard scales; stabilize and prepare for ambulance transfer when needed.
Coordinate with event security, organizers, and ambulance crews; complete incident reports.
Participate in pre-event risk assessments, briefings, and post-event debriefs/analytics.
Coordination & Compliance
Adhere to DHA/DoH/MoH standards, company SOPs, infection prevention & control (IPC), and patient confidentiality.
Communicate promptly with the on-call doctor/Medical Director for clinical escalation.
Participate in rostered on-call shifts, trainings, drills, and CME/CPD activities.
Safeguard equipment, manage stock, and report device malfunctions/adverse events.
Qualifications & Licensing
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
Valid UAE nursing license/eligibility
(DHA preferred; DoH/MoH considered with transfer).
Current
BLS
(required);
ACLS/PALS
preferred. Event coverage add-ons (e.g.,
PHTLS/ITLS
or first-responder courses) are a plus.
Minimum
2 years
clinical experience (ER/Urgent Care/Home Care/Event Medicine preferred).
Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
Experience in Emergency
Extensive experience in IV cannulation procedures for pediatric and adult populations.
Wound care, pain and fever control, and on-site medical procedures.
Calmly and confidently assesses and prioritizes issues, even in high-pressure or crowded situations.
Excellent patient education and hospitality etiquette for VIP/home/hotel settings.
Clear documentation on EMR system, accurate medication and charge capture.
Professional English; Arabic is an advantage.
Teamwork, reliability, and discretion with VIP clientele.
Tools & Equipment (typical)
Adaptable schedule with the ability to work extended shifts as required.
Rotating shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
On-call
coverage per monthly roster (response-time KPI; standby allowance per policy).
Flexibility to move between home-care caseload and event postings.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Ability to lift/transfer patients with safe-handling techniques; frequent standing/walking.
Up-to-date professional immunizations as per policy; fit-testing for PPE as applicable.
Willingness to work indoors/outdoors at events and travel across Dubai/other emirates as needed.
