Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Coronary Care Unit (CCU) team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of hands-on experience in ICU/CCU settings, providing high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients. This is an exciting opportunity for an RN to play a key role in delivering specialized nursing care to patients who require intensive monitoring and intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

Provide high-level care to critically ill patients in the ICU/CCU, including continuous monitoring, assessment, and treatment of medical conditions.

Critical Care:

Administer intravenous medications, blood products, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and effectiveness.

Monitoring:

Regularly assess patients' vital signs, neurological status, and other critical parameters; promptly report any significant changes to the attending physician.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the healthcare team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other nursing staff, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.

Patient Education:

Educate patients and their families on post-care instructions, recovery plans, and potential complications.

Documentation:

Accurately document patient care, assessments, and outcomes in medical records, adhering to hospital and regulatory standards.

Emergency Response:

Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies within the ICU/CCU, providing life-saving interventions when necessary.

Equipment Management:

Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment, such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and ECG machines, ensuring proper functionality and patient comfort.

Quality Improvement:

Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of high-standard care and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution.

Licensure:

Current and valid RN license to practice in [Location].

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in an ICU or CCU setting, including experience with critically ill patients requiring complex care.

Certifications:

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Basic Life Support (BLS) Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills:

Strong clinical skills, particularly in critical care settings. Proficiency in using medical equipment and interpreting diagnostic results. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move patients as required. Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
