Assessing, observing, and speaking to patients
Recording details and symptoms of patient medical history and current health
Preparing patients for exams and treatment
Administering medications and treatments, then monitoring patients for side effects and reactions
Creating, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans with the medical team
Performing wound care, such as cleaning and bandaging them
Assisting in medical procedures as needed
Operating and monitoring medical equipment
Drawing blood, urine samples, and other body fluids for lab work
Educating patients and family members on treatment and care plans, as well as answering their questions
Prepares patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient.
Provides information to patients by answering questions and requests.
Documents dental care services by charting in patient records.
Maintains patient confidence and protects the data by keeping information confidential.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Protects patients and staffs by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
Ensures operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
