Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and dedicated Registered Midwife to join our dynamic Maternity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to women throughout the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods. You will play a pivotal role in supporting mothers and their families, ensuring a safe, positive, and empowering childbirth experience.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care:

• Provide full-spectrum midwifery care, including antenatal assessments, labor and delivery management, and postnatal support.
• Conduct normal vaginal deliveries independently and manage emergencies in collaboration with the obstetric team.
• Monitor and assess the health of mothers and newborns, identifying any deviations from the norm and taking appropriate action.
• Provide family planning advice and support, including counseling on reproductive health.
• Educate and empower women and their families on pregnancy, childbirth, parenting, and newborn care.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team including obstetricians, pediatricians, nurses, and allied health professionals.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and timely documentation in patient records.
• Foster a supportive and respectful environment for patients and colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Professional Development:

• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
• Participate in continuous professional development and training programs, leveraging our partnership with Mayo Clinic for knowledge exchange.
• Uphold the highest standards of patient safety and clinical quality.

Qualifications & Requirements

• License: A valid and current DOH (Department of Health - Abu Dhabi), DHA (Dubai Health Authority), or MOH (Ministry of Health) license or eligibility letter.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing/Midwifery or a recognized Post-Graduate Diploma in Midwifery.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of recent, hands-on experience as a Registered Midwife in a hospital setting.
• Skills:
• Strong clinical skills in all areas of midwifery practice.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for maternal and newborn care.
• Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency in working effectively within a multicultural team.
