Role Overview:

The Midwife Nurse is responsible for providing safe, high-quality antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to women and newborns in line with DOH/DHA Midwifery Scope of Practice. The role involves health education, patient advocacy, breastfeeding promotion, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Identify complications and escalate cases to physicians as required. Deliver antenatal, labor, and postnatal care, ensuring continuity and safety. Promote breastfeeding and support "baby-friendly" initiatives. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain accurate records in the electronic medical system. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards. Respond effectively to obstetric and neonatal emergencies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Midwifery. * Minimum 3 years' experience as a Midwife in a maternity hospital or related setting.
