Job Description
Job Summary:
The Registered Midwife is responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based midwifery care to women throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postnatal period. The role includes promoting maternal and newborn health, offering education and support, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
- Provide antenatal care, including health assessments, screenings, and education.
- Monitor and support women during labor, ensuring safe delivery and managing complications when necessary.
- Conduct postnatal care for mothers and newborns, including breastfeeding support and infant health checks.
- Perform neonatal examinations and provide emergency care if required.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed
