Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our team at [ Dr. jack Dental Clinic].

As a Dental Nurse, you will be an integral part of our patient care delivery, assisting dental practitioners, and ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our patients. Your exceptional clinical skills, warm demeanor, and attention to detail will contribute to providing top-notch dental care and a positive experience for our patients.

Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care:

- Assist patients in preparing for dental procedures and treatments.

- Obtain and document patients' medical histories and vital signs.

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.

- Provide empathetic care and support to patients, particularly those with dental anxiety.

2. Dental Procedure Assistance:

- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment for procedures.

- Hand dental instruments to the dentist during treatments.

- Assist dentists during dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canals, and cleanings.

- Maintain a well-organized and fully stocked dental operatory.

3. Radiography and Imaging:

- Take dental X-rays and process the images as required.

- Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient records are maintained.

4. Clinic Administration:

- Handle patient inquiries, phone calls, and coordinate follow-up care as needed.

- Manage patient records with strict adherence to confidentiality and privacy guidelines.

- Assist with billing, insurance claims, and other administrative tasks as required.

5. Sterilization and Infection Control:

- Strictly adhere to infection control guidelines and maintain sterilization protocols.

- Ensure all dental equipment and instruments are properly cleaned and disinfected.

6. Emergency Response:

- Be prepared to assist in medical emergencies that may arise during dental procedures.

7. Team Collaboration:

- Collaborate effectively with the dental team, including dentists, dental hygienists, and administrative staff, to provide comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:

- Registered nurse with valid credentials and licenses.

- Prior experience in a dental clinic for one year at least is must .

- Proficiency in dental procedure assistance and radiography techniques is a plus.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment.

- Knowledge of infection control protocols and best practices in dental care.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the dental clinic and its patients.

- A compassionate and caring demeanor to ensure patient comfort and satisfaction.

- Basic computer skills for managing patient records and administrative tasks.

- experience in dental implants is highly recommended
