Danfoss Climate Solutions is looking for an experienced Regional Senior Sales Director. This is a senior leadership position with the responsibility of directing the Danfoss Climate Solutions sales in the Turkey, Middle East and Africa (TMA) Region. The Head of Regional Sales is the interface between customers, TMA Regional Teams and the Danfoss Global Segment, product lines and group functions to ensure profitable growth and organizational development. With a solid, customer-focused mindset and skills that build interpersonal trust, the Head of Regional Sales has a high-profile role representing Danfoss in the TMA region and the TMA Region within Danfoss. The position requires significant direction setting; therefore, the Regional Head of Sales should be a good and clear communicator in a diverse environment. Also, to build strong relationships with customers and local teams, keeping internal and external stakeholders throughout the region and beyond, engaged and aligned on the strategical direction of the company. Besides growing the business and segment market share, the position holder is expected to build a strong regional segment agenda, be highly skilled in organizational development, be highly versed in the markets and industries served to develop the vision and growth plans necessary to secure future growth. Danfoss Climate Solutions is the leading supplier and solutions' provider to the HVAC & R industries. We have a broad product portfolio, serving customers withing heating and cooling applications. As Regional Senior Sales Director, TMA you will report to the TMA Regional President.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Provide overall leadership and develop leaders for segment business by ensuring profitable growth, capturing market share through defining and delivering Segment sales strategy across the region
Secure effective relationships with key customer decision makers, and ensure specific growth plans are in place and executed
Formalize and adhere to business processes for Segment sales, including but not limited to demand planning, forecasting, budgeting, fixed expenses, pipeline, and CRM (Salesforce)
Collect market intelligence and monitor industry trends in the region through professional associations, industry press, networks, customers and co-workers
Optimize offer and value proposition for segment products by evaluating market trends, customer behaviors and competitor activities, in collaboration with Region Sales and Product lines
Lead the regional sales and technical support teams (50+ employees), set individual and group sales objectives and initiatives
Represent Segment in the Danfoss TMA Regional Management Team (RMT)
Translate deep regional insights into critical priorities and critical success factors that ensure strategies to be implemented to secure growth
Develop relevant Segment talent strategies to meet current and future business needs in collaboration with region, HR and other segments
Develop and professionalize interfaces and collaboration across Segment value chain
Secure effective strategical and tactical alignment with product lines, and actively interact with their representatives
Background & Skills
The ideal candidate possesses these skills.
Degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent, with proven experience in sales and business development in the engineering or industrial sectors
10+ years’ experience in sales management role. A good knowledge of the HVAC&R applications would be considered a plus
Extensive domain experience and industry know-how
Thoroughly familiar and able to work across and make crucial decisions for multiple market segments
Experience in successfully building high-performing and motivated sales, applications, MarCom, and sales support teams
Highly familiar with projects, distribution and OEM business models
Previous experience in leading a group of leaders, coordinating initiatives and results
Proven leadership experience in a decentralized, virtual and highly matrix environment
Experience in selecting and hiring the right people for the teams you lead
Solid experience in embracing and leading change, flexible, change agent
Solid experience with performance management processes
Strong business insights and strategy deployment
Effective communication skills and comfortable with handling messages across the entire hierarchical spectrum, upward and downward
