Regional Sales Manager

Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing the sales process to direct account customers in the MEA region. The role contributes to the catalyst technologies (Chemicals catalyst-Formaldehyde- syngas) business by driving overall financial performance for the region. This includes continued growth and profitability consistent with the business strategy while building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and stakeholders (both internal and external) in an ethical and safe manner.
  • Managing the sales process for customers from quotation through negotiation to closing profitable sales deals
  • Delivering sales, gross margin, and customer contribution for the sales territory
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and stakeholders which create value and build transformational long-term partnerships
  • Providing technical and product advice to customers which will drive their project and investment plans, improve efficiency and performance of their production assets and processes, and bring value to JM and customers
  • Continually seeking and developing opportunities for the introduction of new products and services to customers
  • Coordinating with the Engineering Team to ensure superior product performance for customers
  • Providing excellent on site customer support and regular visits.
  • Sharing customer and market insights with relevant Catalyst Technologies teams to better understand market requirements and improve JM offering
  • Managing sales of new projects and coordinating with I&M and project teams.
  • Continually seeking and developing opportunities for the introduction of new product and services responsible for accounts\xe2\x80\x99 development, deploying and implementing business strategies.
  • Coordinating with Engineering, Licensing and BD teams to ensure JM strategic alignment
  • Updates regional account managers and regional heads and maintains and updates the project list for new build plants
  • Identifying collaboration topics with contractors in other areas (e.g. LCS, LCH\xe2\x80\xa6etc)
  • Ensuring all activities are completed in accordance with JM code of ethics and EHS policy and practices
Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience
  • Degree most likely in a scientific/technical discipline essential
  • Background in chemicals, catalyst, Oil & Gas essential
  • Proven sales and technical sales experience including complex negotiations essential
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Rigorous and Structured approach to problem solving
  • Able to work effectively in a matrix organisation and engage effectively with stakeholders outside of the NPB team
  • Strong \xe2\x80\x98can-do\xe2\x80\x99 attitude
  • Communication - both verbal and written with the ability to present complex ideas effectively to senior stakeholders essential
  • Rigorous and Structured approach to problem solving essential
  • Able to work effectively in a matrix organisation and engage effectively with stakeholders outside of the NPB team essential
  • Strong \xe2\x80\x98can-do\xe2\x80\x99 attitude essential
  • Communication - both verbal and written with the ability to present complex ideas effectively to senior stakeholders essential
  • Expertise setting up and managing sales channels and processes essential
  • Broad understanding of technical product features essential
  • Fluency in a second language (Arabic) desired
  • Detailed understanding of technical product features of the Catalyst Technology portfolio essential
The Job location is in Abu Dhabi or Manama.
