You are responsible for supporting the implementation, monitoring and future development of "best-in-class" compliance processes and systems within FTI-Group. As Regional Governance and Compliance Officer - MENA, you will have a solid reporting line to the Division Compliance Officer (Hotel Management & Destination Management) and dotted reporting line to the respective Country/Regional CEO. Furthermore, you will work in close coordination with the Group Compliance Office for creation and implementing of global compliance infrastructure, projects and compliance related initiatives.Main Tasks and Responsibilities Assure effective implementation and continuous improvement of FTI's group-wide compliance program and its related activities to prevent, detect and respond to illegal, unethical, or improper conductDevelop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the compliance program ("localization") and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. Manage day-to-day operation of the compliance program within the divisionIdentify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk within your division; develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the futureConduct routine compliance audits and ad-hoc investigationsAct as an independent review and evaluation body within the respective cluster to ensure that compliance issues/concerns are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved/remediatedMonitor, and as necessary, coordinate compliance activities within the respective cluster to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify regional trendsDevelop and periodically review and update standards of conduct to ensure continuing currency and relevance in providing guidance to management and employeesServe as a "trusted advisor" to the business through active advising and counseling on all compliance mattersProvide reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the Compliance Committee and senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance effortsFacilitate the "tone from the top" and compliance culture through localized communication measuresSupport compliance communication and conduct anti-corruption/compliance trainingsMonitor and future develop the "best-in-class" compliance processes and systems Your Qualifications University degree in business administration or equivalent qualification with meritMinimum of 5 years of business experience within the areas of compliance, internal audit, finance/controlling or legalStrong project management and prioritization skills, ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities sometimes within short timelinesHighly developed understanding of accounting practicesStrong problem resolution and facilitation skillsGood communication and multi-language skills (English and Arabic)Expert skills in Excel, Access, HTML programming (or equivalent)Outstanding analytical and conceptual skillsHigh capacity for teamwork and co-operationSelf-motivated and result-oriented professionalAbility to interact effectively at all levels of an organizationRisk management and/or regulatory expertiseForensic investigations and/or internal controlsGlobal mind-set, strong sense of cultural/diverse backgrounds when working with others We offer an exciting and challenging role in a future-oriented environment as well as excellent possibilities for personal and professional advancement.
