Job Summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation is looking to hire a Regional Compliance Officer and Compliance Counsel in the Europe and Middle Eastern (EMEA) region to support the company's global compliance and ethics program. The position will particularly focus on anti-corruption compliance but will entail other compliance risk management and issue handling from time-to-time.

Major Responsibilities
Employ legal training and common sense to proactively identify and resolve compliance related issues for the EMEA region.
Assist with enhancing the company's global legal and ethical compliance program.
Help develop a positive culture of ethics and compliance and the overall implementation, management and continuous improvement of the company's global legal and ethical compliance program.
Provide day-to-day legal advice and counseling on various compliance related issues as they arise to EMEA management team.
Maintain compliance oversight of third parties, such as sales representatives, and conduct associated due diligence and auditing for the EMEA region.
Investigate possible compliance violations in the region, Triage investigations and issues reported to the company hotline. Manage and oversee remediation actions as needed.
Help implement policies and conduct training on them.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned, in support of the various functions of the compliance and ethics organization.
Education/Experience Requirements

Law degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to practice law in the relevant legal jurisdiction.
Admission to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction - Desired.
7 to 10 years' legal experience with anti-corruption and other compliance matters
Knowledge And Skill Requirements
Ability to operate without extensive supervision and act as a self-starter.
Understand effective compliance program standards and program operations.
Extensive international compliance experience with a focus on anti-corruption. Experience in reviewing and implementing internal controls that are capable of detecting and preventing significant instances of illegal, unethical, or improper conduct by employees, agents, contractors, or others working with the organization.
Experience of implementing policies and coordinating in region awareness and training campaigns.
Excellent training skills especially related to anti-corruption such as appropriate gifts and hospitality.
Extensive experience in due diligence and auditing of third parties.
Experience in developing communications to a multicultural employee base in support of the compliance and ethics programs.
Ability to interface effectively with executives and others in the organization to develop and maintain good working relationships.
Willingness to be flexible and adaptive and demonstrate a desire to operate in a dynamic and high-growth environment.
Works well under pressure with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, while maintaining a sense of humor
Creative problem solver who possesses sound business judgment and is detail oriented.
Demonstrated ability to diffuse high pressure situations and work out difficult problems
Experience with privacy and cybersecurity is helpful.
Avionics, electronics, software, telecommunications (especially satellite based), and maintenance services industries experience is helpful.
Proficient in MS Office software including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Other Requirements
Ability to travel, up to 10 percent domestically, 25 percent internationally.

This position is responsible for enhancing, supporting and maintaining the Ethics and Compliance Program across the PNA Group, located within the Panasonic Avionics division. Primary areas of responsibility with include OEC Program Operations, Communication and Training Record Keeping and Administration, and overall OEC Client Engagement support tasks, assignments.
