Job Summary

The Receptionist / Hostess & Cashier is responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations and seating arrangements, handling billing and payments, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. This role requires excellent customer service skills, accuracy in cash handling, and a friendly, professional demeanor.

Key ResponsibilitiesReceptionist / Hostess Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure a positive first impression Manage reservations, waiting lists, and table assignments efficiently Escort guests to their tables and present menus Coordinate with service staff to ensure smooth guest flow and seating Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and basic complaints politely Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Cashier Duties

Accurately process guest bills, payments, and receipts Handle cash, credit/debit card, and digital payment transactions Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift Prepare daily sales reports and submit to management Assist guests with billing inquiries or discrepancies
General Responsibilities

Maintain a professional appearance and follow grooming standards Follow company policies, SOPs, and cash-handling procedures Support service staff during peak hours when required Ensure guest satisfaction and promote a welcoming dining atmosphere Comply with hygiene, safety, and customer service standards
Requirements & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience as a receptionist, hostess, or cashier in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic math skills and accuracy in cash handling Ability to work under pressure and during busy service hours Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
