Role Summary
The Real Estate Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end real estate lifecycle, including site selection, lease negotiations, renewals, terminations, and store openings. The role ensures that all real estate activities align with Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle's strategic objectives, financial discipline, and brand standards while maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Support the execution of the full real estate process, including site identification, evaluation, lease negotiations, renewals, terminations, and new store openings in line with approved growth plans.
Oversee the administration, validation, and maintenance of lease agreements and property documentation, coordinating closely with Legal and Insurance teams to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
Manage risk assessments, budget control, and cost optimization related to leases, rentals, fit-outs, and property-related expenditures to drive operational efficiency.
Coordinate and track landlord communications, lease amendments, negotiation points, and approvals to ensure timely execution and effective portfolio management.
Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Finance, Project Delivery, and Legal teams to support on-time store openings, renovations, and compliance with brand and operational standards.
Identify potential commercial or operational issues with significant economic impact and lead the development of practical, data-driven solutions.
Provide accurate data, insights, and reports on portfolio performance, recommending actions to optimize store network efficiency and returns.
Ensure all contracts and legal agreements comply with municipality regulations, government requirements, and internal governance standards.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Economics, Real Estate, Finance, or Business Administration.
Minimum 7 years of experience in development management or real estate roles on major retail or real estate development projects.
Strong understanding of lease structures, negotiations, and retail property economics.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Experience within the MENA property sector is highly desirable.
