GOPA TECH is seeking an

Assistant Resident Engineer - Civil Cable

to assist the Resident Engineer in overseeing civil cable work at a project site in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role involves regular site visits, inspections, and coordination with technical disciplines, ensuring that the contractor's work aligns with contract documents and accepted practices. The Assistant Resident Engineer will also assist in the final inspection process for project completion and ensure safety measures are in place.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Resident Engineer by performing regular site visits and inspections. Coordinate with various technical disciplines and attend Site Technical Coordination Meetings. Review and discuss Contractor(s) submissions, Shop Drawings, and other construction-related matters. Monitor the contractor's work to ensure compliance with contract documents, approved methods, and drawings. Witness site activities and testing procedures as required. Assist in the final inspection and certification of project completion and handover. Ensure adequate safety measures are in place and being followed on site.

Key Qualifications:

Minimum 8 years of experience in the UAE, with a focus on civil engineering in the construction industry. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Previous experience with TRANSCO approval is preferred. Strong knowledge of site inspections, contractor coordination, and compliance with clients specifications.
