POSITION SUMMARY

Integrate communication activities and budgets into the resort\xe2\x80\x99s overall sales and marketing plan, while meeting the primary revenue objectives of each resort. Strive to impact the resort\xe2\x80\x99s revenue objectives and meet specific resort goals through communication actions. Showcase the strength of the brand, brand philosophy, and standards through communication activities. Actively support corporate campaigns that enhance the resorts and company\xe2\x80\x99s reputation to the local and regional communities. Understand how to execute strategic eCommerce activities, local media pitches, photo & video shoots, collaterals and social media channel activations and creations. Handle multiple priorities and projects effectively. Develop content and input data for various channels to include, but not restricted to: website, email marketing, social channels, advertising. Assist in the execution of strategic ecommerce activities, local media pitches, photo shoots, collateral and social media channel.

CRITICAL TASKS

Building Brand and Resorts Awareness to Drive Revenue
  • Works collaboratively with local, regional and national resources to build awareness and increase exposure for the resorts, restaurants, Spas and Activity offerings.
  • Work towards fulfillment of a Communications plan, meeting budgeted spending and accrual requirements, which ultimately serves as an integral part of the resort\xe2\x80\x99s marketing plans.
  • Showcase the strength of the brand, brand philosophy, and standards through communication activities.
  • Solicits new media outlets and travel media individuals.
  • Selects the best opportunities for the resort\xe2\x80\x99s based on market conditions and resort\xe2\x80\x99s needs.
  • Uses creative selling abilities to obtain maximum exposure through travel journalists and media outlets.
  • Uses creative selling abilities to obtain maximum exposure towards the Muslim / Arabic community\xe2\x80\x99s e.g. families, groups, government entities based locally / regionally / globally. Key drivers remain awareness amongst our national and local/regional/global Arabic audience in culturally and relevant engaging manner.
  • Drive awareness to local community groups via joint marketing and communications to relevant groups e.g. high end retailers, HNWI\xe2\x80\x99s families, Government entities etc.
  • Increases awareness within the travel media community as well as coordinating events to gain exposures and grow revenue in the restaurants, Spa\xe2\x80\x99s and Activity outlets.
  • Maintains website content and updates website with new promotions in order to generate additional revenue.
  • Manages the resort\xe2\x80\x99s social media efforts, as applicable to increase reach and grow followers.
  • Works with online media outlets to promote the resorts.
  • Organizes and conducts all photo and video shoots for web site content as per brand standards.
  • Coordinates offers and information for all publications and inserts with regard to brand loyalty reward mailings.
  • Develops brochure and resort\xe2\x80\x99s collateral materials.
  • Participates in all both resort\xe2\x80\x99s imaging work (e.g., signage).
  • Ensures consistent brand and resort messages are communicated in all public relations and communications efforts.
  • Ensures consistency in individual resort\'s voice on all guest touch points and public relations and communications, not only following corporate graphic standards, but also on behalf of the individual resort\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Build and share content e.g. photography, images as required to drive resort and brand awareness.
  • Assist in executing the yearly marketing plans and ensure all campaigns are effectively managed from conception to implementation.
  • Liaise closely with all departments to fully understand their promotional requirements.
  • Assist and manage all on-property and off-property activations and promotions (F&B events, Recreation activities and Spa promotions).
  • Develop an engaging social media content calendar that will support the delivery of resort\xe2\x80\x99s commercial strategy.
  • Assist in updating content across all online channels including resort websites, online travel agent websites, Trip Advisor and other search engines.
  • Coordinate press visits and reviews for the resort with the Associate Director of Marketing and peers.
  • Handle requests by media to film/shoot at the resort and ensure that the resort is appropriately featured and credited.
  • Ensure the media kits and other Marketing Communications-related material are appropriate, error-free and brand-compliant.
  • Ensure adherence to brand guidelines for all promotional material and advertising collateral.
  • Ensure all collateral are up to date by performing regular audits.
  • Maintain all resort images and video assets such as photos, renderings, videos, slide shows, presentations, artwork, design files, etc.
  • Assist in preparing the month end marketing & PR reports for all stakeholders.
  • Ensure a timely response to all guests, agencies or stakeholders\xe2\x80\x99 enquiries on social media and other online platforms.
  • Maintain the inventory and ordering of collaterals and keeping month on month records of Marketing spent.
  • Translate the content to Arabic on various collaterals including menus, brochures and monthly newsletters.
Building Successful Relationships
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new travel writers and local media to ensure future exposure. Activities include calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
  • Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities and additional revenue.
  • Provide on-property support to a variety of positions and/or areas (i.e., Field Marketing, Field Ecommerce and Market Associate Director of Public Relations & Marketing) in coordination with Director of Sales and Marketing (DOSM), Revenue Manager (RM), and other leaders within the resort and organization.
  • Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develops strong relationships with e-commerce vendors, media, and distribution channels to ensure quality, cost effective creative executions.
  • Provides all communications channels with creative and unique tools to assist in the public relations and communications for the resorts.
  • Assists the resorts in developing promotions for various campaigns.
  • Conducts site inspections with visiting journalists.
Developing and Coordinating Communication Efforts
  • Provides accurate, complete and effective communications to visiting journalists, publicity or promotions.
  • Provide Local Area Knowledge expertise for the resorts and destination.
  • Actively support corporate campaigns that enhance the company\xe2\x80\x99s reputation to the local and regional communities.
  • Execute programs that address specific needs as outlined in the marketing plan and capitalize on unexpected opportunities as they arise.
  • Develop content and input data for various channels to include, but not restricted to: website, email marketing, social channels, advertising.
  • Develop mobile application specific content, push messages to guests, on-property offers and other resorts/destination content featured in the mobile application.
  • Evaluates new public relations opportunities for the resorts.
  • Develops strategic public relations plan for resorts, includes group, government, corporate, leisure and local efforts.
  • Manages individual and group media visits.
  • Identifies and coordinates community service activities in concert with the public image and needs of the resort.
  • Creates contracts as required for location photo shoots, trade agreements, etc. with appropriate approvals.
  • Directs creative print fulfillment; ensures corporate branding standards and legal compliances are met and incorporated into collateral.
  • Writes all resorts related press releases and other content for print media and electronic media.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Keeps detailed files and records on all matters relative to the resort\xe2\x80\x99s public materials.
  • Respond to daily Newsroom enquiries.
  • Respond to daily local media enquiries.
  • Report out monthly data pertaining to the resorts digital performance.
  • Keep track of target media list, quarterly focus goals and clip successes.
  • Monitor media kits and other Public Relations related material originating from the resorts for appropriateness, errors and whether it complements the brand.
  • Manage an effective traditional and social local media data base.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print).
  • Provide translations for all materials and communications to Arabic for resort/brand related materials.
