The Position
As a Business Unit Director, you will build and lead the identification, development, and implementation of business opportunities that enable Novo Nordisk UAE to expand leadership in Rare Diseases. You will manage the implementation of the designed strategies for the products and ensure all activities in the country comply with local acts, legal demands, and ethical standards.
Main Accountabilities:
\xe2\x80\xa2 Leading the development and implementation of the Rare Disease business strategy in UAE in cross-functional collaboration with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Commercial Excellence \xe2\x80\xa2 Developing strong networks and promoting the visibility of Novo Nordisk amongst key prescribing and industry influences to enhance the corporate image and make Novo Nordisk the preferred partner \xe2\x80\xa2 Leading, driving, and monitoring the implementation of the strategy and business plan to ensure a timely successful launch of new products and lifecycle management of the existing portfolio in line with corporate strategies and local market access needs \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintaining employee engagement through performance management, coaching, and talent development
Qualifications
As a Business Unit Director, you need to have a solid track and experience in sales and marketing from a senior leadership position in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry with direct reports.
Requirements:
\xe2\x80\xa2 Having a university degree in Business, Medicine, or other Life Sciences is preferably \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong organizational and people management skills are required \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical ability with good local market access understanding and cross-functional leadership is required \xe2\x80\xa2 Flexible, with a \xe2\x80\x98can-do\xe2\x80\x99 attitude and innovative mindset \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficiency in oral and written English is a must
