Overview

**This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP**

Under the supervision of the Trade Shop Supervisor, u nder broad direction, this position is responsible for organizational level maintenance and repairs of Range Facilities and Facades. Ensures personnel exhibit superior workmanship and focus upon a quality end product. Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all tasks are accomplished safely and with a focus upon a quality. Will have direct oversight of Carpentry, Canvas, HVAC and Electrical Maintenance personnel. Verifies actual hours worked by personnel to reduce manpower expenditure. Ensures personnel complete all tasks in accordance with the Public Works Safety Policy, Range operations and Environmental, Safety & Health directives. Provides Leadership and mentors junior personnel to develop appropriate skillsets. Addresses Customer concerns in a prompt, professional and courteous manner. Uses Computer Maintenance Management System (Maximo) to correctly capture data related to maintenance work orders, preventative maintenance inspections, and urgent/emergency Customer requests. Ensures personnel correctly capture data on maintenance work order requests and preventative maintenance inspection forms for upload into the Computer Maintenance Management System (Maximo).

Responsibilities

+ Under broad direction, this position is responsible for organizational level maintenance and repairs of Range Facilities and Facades.

+ Ensures personnel complete all tasks in accordance with the Public Works Safety Policy, Range operations and Environmental, Safety & Health directives.

+ Uses Computer Maintenance Management System (Maximo) to correctly capture data related to maintenance work orders, preventative maintenance inspections, and urgent/emergency Customer requests.

+ Will have direct oversight of Carpentry, Canvas, HVAC and Electrical Maintenance personnel.

+ Verifies actual hours worked by personnel to reduce manpower expenditure.

+ Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all tasks are accomplished safely and with a focus upon a quality.

+ Ensures personnel exhibit superior workmanship and focus upon a quality end product.

+ Ensures personnel correctly capture data on maintenance work order requests and preventative maintenance inspection forms for upload into the Computer Maintenance Management System (Maximo).

+ Passes instructions received from supervisor to lower level workers and starts work by assigning immediate tasks to members of the group.

+ Checks work in-progress and verify whether the supervisor's instructions have been met.

+ Examines and inspects work progress and equipment to verify that safety and specifications are met.

+ Trains workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies.

+ Monitors and reviews information to detect or assess problems.

+ Monitor and update Work Order information on CMMS (MAXIMO).

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

+ Minimum Qualifications:

+ High School diploma or equivalent.

+ Requires vocational training in at least one of the Carpentry, HVAC or Electrical trades and a working knowledge of all three.

+ Work experience can be substituted on a year for year basis.

+ Must be a U.S. Citizen

+ Must be able to obtain and maintain valid Secret Clearance

+ A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Kuwait Heavy Duty Driver's License

+ Experience:

+ Approximately six (6) years' experience in Facilities Maintenance.

+ Approximately 3 years' experience in Military Range Operations preferred.

+ Must have an excellent understanding of all safety directives and polices regarding the operation of equipment.

+ Skills:

+ Read, write, and speak English at proficiency level 3

+ Must have numerical skills to be able to solve work-related problems.

+ Must possess manual dexterity for installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.

+ Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills.

+ Must have a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation, and teamwork.

+ Must exercise discretion and good sound judgment.

+ Must have basic computer skills.

+ Supervisory Responsibilities:

+ Leads Carpenters/Canvas repair Technicians, HVAC Technicians and Electricians.

+ Working Conditions:

+ Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

+ Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).

+ Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

+ Physical Requirements:

+ Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

+ Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.

+ Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.

+ Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
