Job Description

In addition to the inspection, testing and qualification, repair and maintenance of field tools, the R&M Engineer role performs preventive & corrective maintenance, retrofit and upgrade to electronic, mechanic, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, data acquisition systems, downhole tools & communication equipment. The role performs these tasks using Company guidelines, technical work instructions, test procedures, schematics, engineering notices, and best practices to complete the scope of functions where required under the direction and supervision of a senior R&M Engineer, Lead Engineer, or Supervisor. As the senior R&M Engineer, the employee will lead and oversee these tasks carried out by other R&M employees. While this is a generic job description covering the different levels of the R&M Engineer position, all aspects of the roles and responsibilities are relevant. Qualifications

QUALITY Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and taking an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford's Management System Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of all policies & procedures, related operational & non-operational documentation, support systems, complies with all Technical Work Instructions and Test Procedures, carrying out work assignments to the highest quality level and within time constraints as required Maintains service quality as an immediate priority when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement Senior roles will participate in Annual Technical Audits as required to ensure systems are effectively implemented; a supporting authority will lead such Audits

OPERATIONS Participates in all daily operations & safety meetings, toolbox, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and reports any issues promptly using the appropriate tools Maintains equipment, facilities, and work area in a presentable and safe working condition Repairs machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, cranes, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices Assembles, installs, or repairs wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometres, or other measuring instruments. Assists, performs, and may lead basic to complex troubleshooting, scheduled preventive maintenance and modifications on a wide range of electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment, including data acquisition systems & downhole tools to determine the cause of failure, performs corrective actions following documented Company policies & procedures against their level of training & competence Assists, performs, and may lead testing and calibration tasks of tools following documented policies & procedures against their level of training & competence Identifies opportunities for improvement in regard to equipment, procedures, and documentation Completes Work Orders, AIRTs, PFTs, Forms, Checklists, Repair Requests and ensures all relevant databases are maintained accurately Complies with the WO labor time log by accurately clocking in/Out of WO (Work Orders) Time tracking system In senior positions, the employee will often lead the team in undertaking all the assignments detailed above. This includes troubleshooting equipment issues, implementing corrective actions, and providing access to all relative R&M documented policies, procedures, work instructions, and technical manuals allowing the R&M team to complete their work effectively and efficiently. They will provide leadership, act as a mentor and perform competency assessments for other co-workers Senior roles will ensure all field and workshop personnel follow the corrective and preventative maintenance procedures, ensuring all failures are followed up to closure with a proper root cause analysis and with the implementation of predetermined corrective action(s) Senior roles will lead the workshop and the electronic lab, defining and distributing the work assignment schedules while evaluating the quality, proficiency, and efficiency of the works being carried out through performing regular inspections to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures Order parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or approved suppliers according to Weatherford's guidelines and procedures Supports and complies with the LEAN initiatives and participates in the facility's continuous efficiency improvement program. Estimates cost to repair machinery, equipment, or building structures Performs other duties and activities safely as assigned by supervisor within physical constraints of the job

COMMUNICATION Where required, will report all equipment failures and troubleshooting requirements to the R&M Mgmt Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders, both internal and external Supervisors & Managers should communicate expectations, roles, and responsibilities to their reports

FINANCIAL All employees have an accountability to the organization to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses Costs incurred should be within the approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure

Supervisors are expected to actively engage with their employees to support talent management through Weatherford's performance management process, including but not limited to talent assessments, succession planning & regular coaching opportunities Supervisors should collaborate with Human Resources & Technical Development to drive strategies for the recruitment & retention of key personnel & to foster an environment that supports the attraction & retention of a high performing, talented workforce
