Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:

Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging tests and interventional procedures that involve the use of X-ray, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging, CT and mammography equipment.
Examine patients, obtain medical history, diagnose illnesses based on imaging and related tests, and also recommend additional exams or treatment plans if necessary

Explain medical procedures or test results to patients or family members.
Administer radiopaque substances by injection, orally, or as enemas to render internal structures and organs visible on x-ray films or fluoroscopic screens.

Provide a safe, quality and effective care to the patient

Instruct radiology staff in desired techniques, positions, or projections.

Deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, since different organs and tissues of the body are more sensitive to radiation. More than just responsible for producing quality images, radiology technicians are vital for direct patient care and safety.

Educate & Train radiology staffs as required.

Review & transmit images and information using images archiving and communication system

Participate in continuing education activities to maintain professional knowledge and develop expertise.
