We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Radiation Oncologist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a Radiation Oncologist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive radiation therapy to patients with cancer and other diseases. This role requires a strong background in using radiation technology as well as excellent communication and patient care skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients according to prescribed dosage and treatment plan
- Accurately document patient and treatment information in electronic medical records
- Monitor and assess patient reactions to radiation treatments and consult with other medical professionals for any necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Collaborate with other physicians and medical staff to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care
- Educate patients and their families about the treatment process, potential side effects, and any necessary lifestyle adjustments
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, new technologies, and treatment techniques through continuing education and professional development opportunities
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and radiation protection standards for patients, staff, and yourself
- Maintain accurate and timely records and reports for patient treatment and progress
- Participate in departmental and hospital committees and meetings as needed
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited radiation oncology residency program
- Board certification in radiation oncology
- State medical license and/or ability to obtain one
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in use of electronic medical records
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
