to join our onshore operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in electrical installation, maintenance, and testing of transformers, switchboards, and other electrical systems within petrochemical, refinery, and oil & gas environments.
Key Responsibilities
Perform testing, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems including Transformers, MV/LV Switchboards, A/C, UPS, and DC UPS.
Supervise cable tray installation, LV/MV/HV cable laying & termination, and grounding systems (underground & above ground).
Conduct onshore technical work such as relay/breaker testing, equipment function testing, and material inspection at workshops or designated company locations.
Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, datasheets, specifications, and test reports.
Ensure compliance with international electrical standards and company quality procedures.
Carry out testing of relays/control panels, microprocessor & solid-state relays through primary and secondary injection testing.
Perform studies and setting calculations for Siemens, GE, and ABB protection relays.
Conduct transformer testing (SFRA, Tan Delta, Vector Group, etc.) and CT/VT testing using OMICRON and other advanced test instruments.
Execute high-voltage testing of MV/HV cables, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and energization tests.
Develop maintenance strategies for offshore electrical systems and support maintenance activities.
Verify MTOs as per project drawings and prepare technical documentation, work packs, and progress reports.
Support project management functions including planning, coordination, and progress monitoring.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum
8-10 years
in testing, maintenance, and installation of electrical systems in petrochemical/refinery/oil & gas industries.
Hands-on experience with test equipment such as CMC-256, Freja 549, CPC-100, Power Analyzer, IR Tester, VIDAR, PD Tan Delta, VLF & HV Hipot Kits.
Proficient in project documentation, quality assurance, and electrical standards compliance.
Excellent command of
English
(verbal & written).
Physically fit and willing to work offshore if required.
Preferred Qualifications
