We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced
Quantity Surveyor
to join our on-site team. Ensuring cost control, proper payment processing, accurate quantity monitoring, and technical support for site activities. This is a vital role that supports the financial and operational efficiency of the project at the site level.
Key Objectives:
Represent Head Office QS on-site and monitor ongoing activities
Ensure timely preparation and control of payments
Monitor and control material quantities to avoid excess delivery
Provide technical assistance for quantity calculation
Supervise correct data reporting from the storekeeper and timekeeper
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare progress invoices in coordination with the Project Manager and Site Engineer
Draft and justify variation orders with technical backing
Ensure timely and ISO-compliant preparation of subcontractor/supplier payments
Conduct site visits to verify progress and payment alignment
Take financial precautions to secure future claims
Coordinate with Head Office QS for documentation and reimbursement
Prepare and review detailed Bill of Quantities (BoQ) before project start
Review internal supply orders and verify quantities requested
Prevent overpayment through careful BoQ comparison
Maintain quality control logs (e.g., concrete, soil tests) with Planning Section
Supervise storekeeper and timekeeper for accurate data reporting
Calculate variation quantities and prepare bar bending schedules
Assist with material approvals and support Project Manager in technical matters
Generate technical data for site changes and potential claims
Adhere to ISO procedures: P-30 (Cost Control) & WP-16-02 (Site QS)
Perform other tasks as directed by the Project Manager
Expected Deliverables:
Timely submission of certified payments and variation claims
Prevention of quantity over-claims
Accurate and sufficient documentation for variation orders and project analysis
Job Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (or equivalent)
2-5 years of relevant experience in site-based quantity surveying
Knowledge of ISO quality systems and QS work procedures
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
Detail-oriented, proactive, and supportive of team objectives
