Job Description
We are seeking an experienced QS Engineer with strong MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) background to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and contract administration related to MEP works, ensuring projects are delivered within budget, quality, and time constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed
cost estimates
for MEP works (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Firefighting). Review and evaluatetender documents, drawings, and specifications
for accurate cost assessments. Conductquantity take-offs
and prepareBills of Quantities (BOQ)
. Manageprocurement activities
, including preparing and reviewing subcontractor/supplier quotations. Monitor project costs and preparecash flow forecasts
. Evaluatevariations, claims, and change orders
related to MEP works. Assist in preparation, negotiation, and finalization ofcontracts and subcontracts
. Coordinate with the project team, consultants, and clients to ensure compliance with project requirements. Prepare and presentprogress reports, cost reports, and financial statements
. Support invalue engineering
to optimize project costs without compromising quality. Ensure compliance withlocal codes, regulations, and industry standards
.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in
Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
. Minimum5+ years of experience
as a Quantity Surveyor with strong exposure toMEP projects
. Proficient inAutoCAD, MS Office, and QS-related software (e.g., CostX, Candy, Primavera, etc.)
. Strong understanding ofcontractual terms, FIDIC, and project cost management
. Excellentanalytical, negotiation, and communication skills
. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED13,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
