Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all costs related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works within construction projects, from initial estimates to final accounts. The role ensures that project costs are controlled, budgets are met, and value is delivered without compromising quality or compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and evaluate MEP cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents. Manage post-contract duties including variations, claims, re-measurement, and final accounts for MEP works. Analyze MEP subcontractor quotations and provide recommendations. Monitor and track project budgets, expenditures, and cost control measures. Prepare progress payment applications and evaluate subcontractor payment certificates. Review design drawings and specifications to identify cost risks and opportunities. Provide contractual and commercial advice to project teams. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, and local regulations. Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize cost efficiency. Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve commercial and contractual matters. Support procurement teams in identifying and finalizing MEP subcontractors and suppliers. Maintain accurate documentation and reports for audits and project closeout.
