Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, validate, and maintain comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs), tender documents, and cost estimates tailored to project specifications. Develop and manage cost plans, budgets, and pricing frameworks for civil and infrastructure works. Review subcontractor and supplier proposals for accuracy, value, and scope alignment. Track ongoing project expenses, ensuring adherence to budget limits and preparing variance reports. Administer interim payments, evaluate work progress, and assist in finalizing project accounts. Identify and manage changes, including variations and claims, in line with contract requirements. Facilitate communication between project teams, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure commercial alignment. Participate in procurement activities, including preparing scope of work, evaluating bids, and recommending suppliers. Perform site-based quantity verification to support billing, progress claims, and certification processes. Ensure all activities comply with relevant contract clauses, regulatory requirements, and company standards. Support project teams in identifying financial risks and implement corrective measures to control cost impact.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Professional membership (e.g., RICS, AIQS, CIQS) is preferred. 6-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in infrastructure or heavy civil projects. Strong understanding of local and international construction methods and cost control principles. Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity take-off or estimation tools (e.g., Candy, CostX). Well-versed in FIDIC and other major contract forms. Strong commercial acumen with sound negotiation and cost assessment skills. Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to manage priorities under tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills for effective reporting and coordination.
