Develop, review, and maintain Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and tender documentation.
Prepare accurate cost plans and budgets for ongoing and upcoming civil and infrastructure projects.
Assess and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance.
Track project spending and provide regular cost reports to ensure alignment with the approved financial plan.
Prepare and submit interim payment applications, progress valuations, and final accounts.
Manage contract variations, change orders, and cost-related claims, ensuring timely resolution.
Liaise closely with design consultants, project managers, and construction teams to ensure commercial integrity.
Support procurement and tendering processes, including drafting scope of work and bid evaluation.
Conduct on-site measurements and verify completed works against drawings and specifications.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, statutory regulations, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
Contribute to risk management and cost control strategies.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, AIQS, CIQS) is advantageous.
Solid understanding of construction processes, industry standards, and cost management principles.
Proficient in quantity surveying tools and software (e.g., Candy, CostX, Bluebeam, MS Excel, AutoCAD).
Knowledge of standard forms of contracts such as FIDIC, JCT, or NEC.
Strong analytical, commercial, and negotiation capabilities.
Effective communicator with excellent documentation and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
