Quantity Surveyor - Joinery (Interior Fit-Out)
Role Overview
Responsible for cost control, estimation, and commercial management of joinery works including custom furniture, wardrobes, kitchens, doors, panels, and factory-produced items within interior fit-out projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and rate analysis for joinery works
Review shop drawings and specifications from a cost perspective
Coordinate with joinery factory, site team, and procurement
Material take-offs for timber, boards, veneers, laminates, hardware, fittings
Prepare RFQs, compare quotations, and support vendor finalization
Track project costs, variations, and change orders
Prepare interim valuations, progress claims, and final accounts
Verify subcontractor bills and material invoices
Support value engineering and cost-saving proposals
Required Experience & Skills
3-7 years QS experience in joinery / interior fit-out
Strong knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, and hardware
Proficient in Excel; experience with QS software is an advantage
Ability to read joinery drawings and shop details
Good coordination and negotiation skills
