Key Responsibilities

Review tender documents, prepare BOQs and cost estimates, and coordinate with clients/consultants for clarifications. Float enquiries to suppliers/subcontractors, analyze quotations, and recommend options to Division Manager/Senior QS. Carry out

quantity take-offs

, finalize material requirements, and coordinate with Procurement for orders, delivery, and tracking. Prepare and update site measurements, interim valuations, and final accounts; follow up with consultants for certification. Identify and prepare

variation orders

and new item rates; advise Project Manager on contractual rights, BOQ items, variations, and claims. Manage subcontractor packages, including monitoring payments, variations, and final account settlements. Conduct BOQ risk reviews with Project Manager and Senior QS; manage financial and material reconciliations with consultants. Prepare monthly project reports, cost summaries, cash flow forecasts, and recap reports; coordinate with Finance/Administration on invoices and materials. Liaise regularly with project staff, consultants, and clients on all commercial and contractual matters.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline. Minimum

5-7 years of relevant experience

in EPC/construction projects in the UAE (substations, water/sewerage pipelines). Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, cost control, and local construction practices. Proficiency in MS Office and relevant cost management software; knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. RICS or equivalent professional certification will be considered an asset.
