Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) Engineer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects, ensuring value for money while maintaining quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
Conduct cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
Track project budgets and report on any financial variations.
Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
Evaluate subcontractor quotations and recommend cost-effective solutions.
Monitor materials and work progress against budget.
Prepare and present project reports and financial statements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in a QS or cost engineering role in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Proficient in MS Excel and quantity surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, CostX, or similar).
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Membership in a professional body (e.g., RICS or CIQS) is a plus.
