Job Description
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our innovative team at IIQAF. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for handling a wide range of tasks related to monitoring and calculating construction costs. You will be tasked with maintaining accurate records of expenses, analyzing complex data sets, and providing solutions for cost irregularities. You must have a high level of accuracy, experience working across multiple projects and good communication skills.

- Assessing, monitoring and managing construction works to ensure cost effectiveness
- Analyzing and forecasting budget projections
- Preparing price lists for resources and services
- Estimating quantities used and materials needed
- Maintaining accurate records of expenses, quantities and materials
- Negotiating and finalizing contracts with suppliers
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of bids
- Preparing change order proposals
- Providing technical advice
- Liaising with clients, contractors and other professionals
- Maintaining a detailed schedule of progress payments
- Resolving contractual disputes
- Managing multiple projects
- Interpreting drawings and technical documents
- Managing quality control and health and safety procedures
- Proven experience as a quantity surveyor
- Degree or diploma in a relevant field
- Knowledge of the construction industry and construction works
- Excellent communication, problem solving and teamwork skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Accurate attention to detail
- Ability to use relevant software packages
- Ability to prioritize and deliver under pressure
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new things
