We are currently recruiting for Quantity Surveyor to be based out of their office in Dubai.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Cost estimating: Quantity Surveyors are responsible for estimating the costs of construction projects. They must analyze project plans and specifications, and factor in material and labor costs, as well as any other expenses associated with the project.
  • Contract administration: Quantity Surveyors manage contracts for construction projects, including negotiating and drafting contracts, as well as ensuring that all parties are complying with the terms of the contract.
  • Budget management: Quantity Surveyors manage project budgets and ensure that projects are completed within budget constraints. They must track costs and expenditures, and make recommendations for cost savings where possible.
  • Risk management: Quantity Surveyors must identify potential risks associated with a project and develop strategies to mitigate those risks. This can include assessing project risks related to safety, design, and construction.
  • Quality control: Quantity Surveyors are responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet quality standards, and that materials and workmanship are of high quality.
  • Dispute resolution: Quantity Surveyors may be called upon to resolve disputes related to construction projects, including disputes related to contracts, budget overruns, and delays.
  • Project management: Quantity Surveyors may also be responsible for managing construction projects from start to finish, including overseeing the work of contractors and subcontractors, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring that projects are completed on schedule.
Skills
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction and operation industries.
  • Experience with cost estimating, budget management, and contract administration
  • Experience with construction project management, including overseeing the work of contractors and subcontractors.
  • Experience with risk management and quality control.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze project plans and specifications and accurately estimate costs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage project budgets and track costs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with project teams and clients, as well as negotiate and manage contracts.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for quantity surveying, such as cost estimating software and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of construction materials and methods, and an understanding of how they impact project costs and timelines.
  • Strong mathematical skills to calculate quantities, measurements, and costs accurately.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to changing technologies and industry standards
