Al Rostamani Pegel is a main contractor in the UAE Construction Industry and has to its credit, timely and successful construction of several multipurpose projects including high rise buildings, villas, hotels, hospitals and industrial facilities.

Job Purpose

This is a project based Intermediate Management Level position that focuses on the following:
  • Re-measurement
  • Subcontract Procurement
  • Subcontract Management (Variations, Valuations and Payment)
  • Assisting with Main Contract Variation preparation
  • Assisting with Employer Payment applications
  • Assisting with Cost, Revenue and Forecasting preparation
  • Assisting with Monthly Project Performance Reporting preparation
  • Assisting with Estimation and Tender submission preparation
Job Responsibilities
  • Re-measurement - Re-measure quantities from drawings and actual site visits and apply the information to procurement, subcontractor and employer related activities
  • Subcontractor and Major Supplier Procurement Process - To ensure the correct procedure are adopted for the identification, selection, tendering, evaluation and negotiation of bids from Subcontractors to prior to award of the Main Contract. (Refer ARP latest procurement policy)
  • Subcontractor and Major Supplier Management - To ensure the correct procedure is adopted for the identification, selection, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, engagement, administration, management and finalisation of Subcontractors after award of the Main Contract.   • Main Contract Administration - Claim, Variations and Disputes Issues - To ensure the correct procedure is adopted to protect and maximise the contractual entitlement for variations affecting the contracted works (Time and Money contractual claims). (Refer ARP latest procurement policy)
  • Main Contract Administration - Payments and Applications - To ensure the correct procedure is adopted regarding the application and payment for completed work. (Refer ARP latest procurement policy)
  • Cost and Revenue Controls - To ensure the correct procedure is adopted for the basic methods used to control and monitor the current financial position of projects. (Refer ARP latest procurement policy)
  • Project Cash flows Reporting - To ensure the correct procedure is adopted for the forecasting and reporting of project revenue and project costs to facilitate divisional and overall company cash management. (Refer ARP latest procurement policy)
  • Project Forecasting - To ensure the correct procedure is adopted to facilitate the accurate forecasting of the final position of projects at completion. (Refer ARP latest procurement policy)
  • Project Reporting - To provide a standard "Project Report Pack" and guidelines that facilitates the accurate and regular reporting of a project\'s progress and status to Senior Management. (Refer ARP latest procurement policy)
  • Estimation and Tendering - To provide a review on all the tender drawings and specifications and assess the scope of works. To work on enquiries to be issued to Vendors. (Refer ARP latest procurement policy
Job Requirements

Qualifications
  • Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
Experience
  • 4-6 years post qualification experience.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Experience of working within a site based project team
  • Good understanding /application of re-measurement techniques
  • Good understanding of subcontractor/supplier management
  • Good understanding of main Contract Administration (Progress Claims/Variation and Contractual Claim preparation
  • Basic understanding of estimation software, tendering procedure.
  • Basic understanding of subcontract procurements process.
  • Basic understanding of cost and reporting software systems
  • Basic understanding of the different types of construction contracts
  • Good communication skills (proficient in verbal/written English)
  • Good computer skills
