Job Description
: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quantity Surveyor to join our team! In this role you will get to perform a variety of Quantity Surveying and standard estimating activities (individual or as part of a team) on an assigned project/program. The Quantity Surveyor / Estimator at this level has experience in review and prepare Bill of Quantities and applying standard estimating practices, techniques processes and procedures, and demonstrates familiarity in applying company policies and assigned project/program practices and procedures.

- Knowledge of pre and post contract administration for different contract types (re measure and lump sum is essential)
- Preparing / reviewing the Bills of Quantities
- Prepare and maintain budgets, estimates, cash flow forecasts, cost reports
- Verify and certify consultants\' and contractors\' interim applications for payment and issue payment certificates
- Review and assess consultants\' and contractors\xe2\x80\x99 claims
- Review and assess Extension of Time claim in coordinate with the planning engineer and as directed by the Project Manager
- Participation in site visits & preparation of reports as directed by the project manager
- Ensure the submission of consultants\' and contractors\xe2\x80\x99 insurances/bonds in accordance with the contract
- Assist in the close out procedure and prepare the consultants\' and contractor\xe2\x80\x99s final account
- Ensure completeness and validity of contractual requirements.
- Advice on Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s resource allocation.
- Ensure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations.
- Check and record measure of work done.
- Monitor contracts final cost estimate.
- Maintain expenditure records.
- Review, negotiate and prepare claim settlements.
- Coordinate and monitor activities of his team.
- Prepare financial statements for monthly report.
- Perform other duties associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Quantity or Building Surveying or Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- A minimum of 8-10 years relevant quantity surveying experience
- Knowledge of pre and post contract administration.
- Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to work independently.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.
