Position Overview
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing project costs, procurement, and contract administration to ensure optimal resource utilization and adherence to budgetary requirements. The role supports senior team members in cost estimation, tendering, and valuation processes, contributing to the successful delivery of real estate and construction projects across Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate's portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQ) using Plan Swift, Revit, BIM, or 3D models.
  • Assist in preparing project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor project expenditure and provide cost variance reports to identify savings or overruns.
  • Participate in procurement and tendering processes, including preparing RFPs, addenda, and tender analysis.
  • Support contract administration by reviewing contractor submissions, claims, and variation requests.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of cost data, invoices, and payment certificates.
  • Prepare interim valuations, progress payments, and variation orders.
  • Conduct site visits to verify quantities and ensure accurate valuation of work performed.
  • Collaborate with senior quantity surveyors and project managers to ensure compliance with company standards and project objectives.
  • Participate in cost control workshops and contribute to cost optimization strategies.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in quantity surveying within the real estate or construction sectors.
  • Working toward professional certification such as MRICS or MCIOB is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, budgeting, and cost control skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Plan Swift, Revit, BIM, 3D modeling tools, and PMWeb.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and teamwork abilities.
