Quantity Controller

Key Responsibilities:
Review and verify quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and BOQs. Coordinate with site engineers and quantity surveyors to track actual work progress versus planned quantities. Ensure proper tracking and documentation of used materials and remaining stocks. Prepare periodic reports on material usage and productivity rates. Assist in preparing interim payment applications and final accounts by verifying quantities. Work with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely material ordering and delivery based on accurate quantity forecasts. Monitor variations and changes in scope that impact quantities and cost. Support cost control efforts by providing quantity-based insights and data. Participate in site inspections to validate work done and compare with approved drawings. Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards related to quantity measurement and material handling.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. 3 to 5years of experience in quantity control or related roles in a contracting environment. Strong understanding of construction drawings, BOQs, and project specifications. Good analytical, reporting, and communication skills. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Knowledge of relevant construction codes and practices.
