The Car Care Estimator is responsible for inspecting vehicles, identifying required car care services, and preparing accurate estimates for customers. The role ensures clear communication with customers, coordinates with technicians, and maintains high-quality service standards to enhance customer satisfaction.
Conduct thorough inspection of vehicles to determine required car care services (detailing, polishing, ceramic coating, interior cleaning, etc.).
Identify paint condition, scratches, swirl marks, oxidation, and other cosmetic issues.
Diagnose the level of service required and recommend suitable packages.
2. Cost Estimation & Quotation
Prepare accurate and transparent estimates for customers, including pricing for labor, materials, and additional services.
Explain estimates and service packages clearly to customers.
Update estimate revisions based on additional findings or customer requests.
3. Customer Service & Communication
Greet customers professionally and understand their vehicle concerns.
Provide expert recommendations on appropriate car care solutions.
Maintain regular communication with customers regarding job status, additional work requirements, and completion times.
Handle customer complaints professionally and support resolutions.
4. Coordination with Workshop Team
Communicate approved work orders to technicians.
Coordinate with car care specialists and ensure proper understanding of required tasks.
Monitor job progress and ensure timely delivery of services.
5. Quality Control
Conduct final inspection after job completion to ensure quality standards are met.
Ensure customer satisfaction before vehicle delivery.
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of estimates, work orders, invoices, and customer details.
Update job status in the system and ensure proper documentation.
Prepare daily reports related to estimates and job progress.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in car care, detailing, or service estimation.
Strong knowledge of car care services (polishing, interior detailing, ceramic coating, paint protection, etc.).
Good communication and customer-handling skills.
Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Basic computer skills and experience with estimation/job card software is preferred.
Attention to detail and strong observation skills.
