Job Summary:

The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities and materials comply with the approved drawings, project specifications, codes, and standards. The role involves inspecting, testing, and monitoring all processes to maintain the highest quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain the project quality control plan in accordance with company standards and client requirements. Conduct inspections of materials, workmanship, and construction activities. Prepare and maintain all quality documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs). Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve quality-related issues. Review and approve material submittals and method statements. Ensure all testing and calibration of equipment is performed as per standards. Conduct site audits and ensure compliance with ISO and project quality standards. Monitor corrective and preventive actions for non-conformities. Provide training and awareness sessions to site staff on quality procedures. Support the QA/QC Manager in preparing monthly quality reports and documentation for handover.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Quality Control, preferably in the construction industry. In-depth knowledge of QA/QC procedures, codes, and standards (ISO, ASTM, BS, etc.). Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with quality management software.

Preferred:

Certification in QA/QC or ISO 9001:2015. Experience working with major consultants or contractors. Knowledge of local authority standards and approvals.
